Post I have one...

I own one of the Shuttle miniPC and I really like it. It's kind of a cool box bigger than a toaster and it sits in my kitchen. Really handy in there and it looks good. I don't think I'd use it as a server though because it does get a little warm. The interior is very tight... I did have it running Windows Media Centre for a while and it looked good next to the TV, but I'm going to switch to a media centre form factor for than now. I think for a server a mid-size tower is a good start.
