Default Large Hadron Collider - first collisions detected - Live Webcast

The first collisions have been detected at the Large Hadron Collider just a short while ago today. Seems to be quite a big deal. Live webcast is at http://webcast.cern.ch/lhcfirstphysics/

Apparently, what they are doing today they have been working towards for the past 20 years or so. One of the main people was talking a few minutes ago and said that the real physics work starts now.
