Default amd or intel

I personaly like amd

This could be because my first computer was a 486 computer and as soon as the pentium was relesed it became old tech.

so far ive had

athlon 850mhz
athlon 750mhz
duron 800mhz
athlon 1000mhz
sepron 2400
athlon xp2400
athlon xp2000
anthlon64 3500

but with intel Ive only had

486 25mhz (Ive had lots of these
pentium 3 550mhz

Whats every one else like when it comes to amd and intel

Never used AMD before.

However, I have to go with Intel as most of the people use it out there Also, they are pretty good with most of the games in the market.

AMD is only good for gamers who are addicted to games and want a PC only to play games. The Fps of AMD is far better than Intel but you can't have anything running in the background in AMD's case unlike Intel.

I am all intel and I have always been since my first real computer. I like intel a lot better and I think I would never get an amd.

I dont have problems with running multiple programs at once.

The only time I do is when im encoding DVDs and I set the priority to high.

I dont think most people would notice the differentce so it just comes down to personal taste.

I'd disagree about AMD and multiple tasks too - I have an AMD 64 and it runs like a dream no matter what I'm doing.

Most technician I know they prefer using AMD specially if they want to play games. They said that AMD is more faster that Intel. I used AMD processor and they are just good as intel.

AMD is a great processor and its easy on the pocket book. But,, I think that Intel does a better job of running applications.

When you have graphic intensive applications, such as video games, Intel processors seem to run the games smoother then AMD. Now AMD does a great job at running games. But there is just something about an Intel chip. It just seems to do it a little better.

I have owned several AMD and Intel powered computers - and I have built a lot of them. If you want a top of the line gaming system or server, go with Intel. If you want an middle of the road to good quality system, go with AMD.

Well I both used processor. AMD is nice specially if you want to use it for Gaming purposes, but it does become a little bit slower in multitasking thing. Like if you open a lot of program, it slow fast. On the other hand Intel is good for multitasking purposes.

I use Intel's Quad Core in my PC of a clock 2.8 GHZ. I personally feel that, Intel's Core2 Duo & QUAD Core processors are much faster than AMDx2/Phenoms practically. The phenom 9850 is only competitive with the Q6600. The Q9300 is faster than both and the Q9450 is even faster.
