Default Personalize Internet Explorer

Introduction:

So you have got your ISP's install disk, and you pop it in the drive, and click install... thinking nothing of it, your ISP has been successfully installed, and is ready to run... One click of the Internet Explorer icon, opens up your selected program... but what is this! Your ISP has decided to stick their brand name in the title bar! Well how would it sound if I told you, that you can put your own branding on, and create your very own personalized title bar?

Requirements:

1. Windows
2. Internet Explorer

Steps:

To create your very own personalized title bar is simple:

For Internet Explorer
1. Click Start > Run
2. In the Run window type regedit
3. Remember to back up the registry before playing! (File > Export)
4. Now expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
5. Once in the Main folder if there is no Window Title string you will have to create a new string, by right clicking, and selecting New > String Value
6. Rename your new string to Window Title, and open the string
7. Once the string is open, put what ever you want in the Value Data text box and click ok
8. Once you open up Internet Explorer, you will see your new brand in the title bar!

Tips:

Do not forget to back up the registry before attempting to change something
Make sure spelling is right; else the title will not work.

Conclusion:

You should now have your very own branded Internet Explorer.
