Smile How many have changed onto a Linux?

Hi,

I was wondering how many people have moved to running a opensource distro like Ubuntu, Suse, Redhat, FreeBSD

Im considering it, but need to ensure that i can run my Coldfusion Server, and i would need to check the html editors?

My Favorite editor for linux is Quanta + I love it.. For graphics you could use gimp but there is a way to run Adobe CS3 I just do not remember how this is why i have several computers one running windows so that i can run CS4

Installing Cold Fusion onto Linux...

From CD:

UnTar
gunzip coldfusion-50-linux.tar.gz.

Change the Directory to the decompressed directory
cd coldfusion-50-linux

Run the ColdFusion Server installation script by entering the following command:
./cfinstall

Enter your coldfusion Key, After entering the install directory for ColdFusion Server, the installation process prompts you to enter the name of your Web server. When prompted, enter the path of your Web server's document root directory, and select whether to install the ColdFusion Server documentation and the example applications. After entering and confirming the passwords for the ColdFusion Administrator and ColdFusion Studio, enter the login name under which ColdFusion Server runs.

For each option that you want to install, you are prompted to enter y to install the ColdFusion Server options. Enter y for each option to install.
