Default A Quick Hello

I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself.

I'm a diehard Linux user with a preference for Slackware. I work as the Systems Administrator for Knight Computer Systems, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA. We've mainly been doing Point-Of-Sale systems for restaurants, bars and hotels but I am currently trying to get our data center up and running (based on Slackware of course).

I look forward to seeing what this community is all about!

Welcome to the forums Pride. We are glad to have you here. I am looking forward to your input on the forums. I have not messed with Slackware so I really cant comment on it. I have been a die hard Centos user for years now.

P.S. I am just wondering how you found this forum.

Actually, one of my employees found this forum during a little fact finding web surf. I looked through for a few minutes, liked what I saw, and decided to join.

Pride, welcome to Linux Server Talk! I hope you enjoy using the site.

It's been a bit quiet here for a while, but I'm glad to see a new "face" in the forums. Would be nice to see this site become a bit more active.

I generally only use Linux in command line style, no GUI for me at this point. Most of my Linux work is with CentOS. Eventually I'd like to spend more time learning Linux better in relation to using it for a desktop environment.
