Default Webhosting companies...

For web hosting comapnies - what is one of the best business-to-client software for billing?

I've heard of Modern Bill - and clientexec and both software have gotten extremely good reviews.

Has anyone experienced any of these? Are they worth the hefty price tag? Or is it worth it just to run it from your regular reseller cPanel?

I have experience with Modern Bill. The software is top notch. Its defiantly worth the high cost. Your customers will like it too. When I had Modern Bill I leased it from the data center. But that data center has sense went out of business.

I see.

Thanks Soul. I'll have to see how I can budget my costs to afford it. Do you think it is something to get off of the bat? It'll help improve on first impressions to say "hey, this guy is serious" as opposed to being a joke - like every 15 year old "business owner".

Can you only buy Modern bill directly from them? Or are there resellers with lower prices or something?

Well it depends on your budget. If you can afford it, I would get it right off the bat. Before you get too deep ill tell you my story. I wanted to start my own web hosting business. I already had a server but I upgraded the server, rented cPanel, Fantisco, Modenbill, and I bought a SSL cert. The cost to co-locate the server was $128 per month. Well, after 6 months of operations. I didn't receive 1 customer. And I was out $2,500. After I thought it over, I decided web hosting wasn't good for me.

Some web hosting company's go a whole year with out getting a customer. I would recommend having enough money to at least the first years expenses. I could have kept going but I was already out $2,500 and I didn't want to loose any more money. Just something to think about.

I have used godaddy a couple of times. I did not have any problems except when my sites are on them they are a little sluggish. That is not due to bandwidth but the fact that there hosting servers are pretty loaded.
