Default Making Your Own Web Site

Making your own web site is easier than you think. It is also very inexpensive. This article will show you what to expect and how to start making your own web site in just two steps.

First of all, why should you make a website? There are a number of good reasons . First, you will have a central place to organize your favorite things and communicate with people with similar interests. There will be no limitations like there are with free sites and personal pages on Facebook or MySpace. Another reason is that it is extremely rewarding as a hobby or pastime. Making your own web site may also be rewarding financially. Having your own professional site may just earn you income and possibly end up being a successful career. So lets get started.

To have a professional website, you need a web host. This is very easy to set up, and its very inexpensive. A top of the line web host will only cost you less than $4.00 a month or less than $48. a year. Your host will provide the domain name of your choice, there is no reason to purchase your domain name separately.

The host will provide all the tools you need to create a great site. Tools include unlimited space, unlimited emails, autoresponder, and great applications to create your site like WordPress and Joomla. You do not need to know HTML to create your site. The host will also provide tutorials and around the clock support to help you create your website. Even if you've never created a site before, your web host will make it easy.

The second step is to actually create the site using the software the host provides. WordPress is a good choice if you are just starting out. WordPress makes making your own web site easy and fun. You start out by choosing a theme and then adding your posts in a small word processor. You can start out with just a couple of posts and add to it as you go along. You don't need to have a finished product to have your website online. Many of the best websites have started like this, with just a post or two. You can add content a little at a time. Soon your website will be full of content.

That is the two main steps to making your own web site. You will find it rewarding to get your host and start creating your website. You will feel a sense of accomplishment as the site takes form. It will become fun to interact with others who have come to your site. The icing on the cake is if your site starts to make money. So whats holding you back? Less than four dollars.
