Default Problem with publishing web pages

Hi,

I have updated some of the pages on my website but each time I try to publish them I get the following error message 'This filename is already in use by another subdirectory'.

As I am new to website building, I simply don't understand the solution given in the 'help' file.

Can someone please explain in very simple terms what I need to do to be able to publish these amendments?

I am using Dreamhost and NVU.

Many thanks.

It should not say that at all, A directory is different from another directory as well as its contents. What is the file name? Do you have a link to the site so that i can view the error.

Maybe a couple of links to different pages.

What operating system is your server? (Windows, Linux)
What server tech are you using? (PHP, ASP, JSP, etc)

This is the very first time i have ever heard of this problem and i have been developing for years. So please any other information would be helpful.

Also for more in depth development help you can also visit http://www.htmlhelpcentral.com I am also over then long with many other very skilled web developers.

Well the WB kids skin heavily uses transparency and I don't see any problem with the screenshot; do you have any transparency problem with this skin ? (you should not!)
How do you set transparency in your skin ? do you use an alpha channel directly in the PNG image or the "alphacolor" attribute in your xml ? I am asking because I found recently a bug in transparency handling in PNG bitmaps, so I would expect it has been *fixed* in the most recent version and not broken. As for the "on-top" problem, it could be a problem specific to windows as I don't see it on linux...
Maybe you can give us a link to your skin so that we can check and fix the bug if any.
