Default Windows 10 Video Driver update issue

Running Windows 10. Last night used the Gforce experience to install the latest drivers for my video card. It crashed midway through the screen just went black. After a couple of minutes a blue screen a QR code, and then it tried to start again, then the blue screen said automatic fix failed and there was an power off and advanced options. Selected power off waited a bit restarted and it repeated the cycle to advanced options. Selected advanced options, selected a system restore point from a week ago. That failed because of an unexpected error. Tried a startup from the advanced options menu. That failed. Tried the restore point again got the same error message and shut it down for the night. Got up this AM, (PST) turned it on hoping against hope and got on wife's pc to see when the repair shop opened and other places I need to go today. Looked at my computer and windows had started and it was at the lock screen. Entered my pin and go to the desktop, the restore point failure error box was on the desktop, closed that came here.
