Hit counters?

I have Google analytics, but they don't offer a hit counter that will show on my site. I can't get my FrontPage counter to work consistently. Can anyone recommend one?

I don't want one with ads, and I would prefer it not have to connect to anyone else's server to work. I just want a basic, simple counter.
