Web 2.0; opinions?

What do you guys think of Web 2.0? Is it a hype, or is it truly something that is revolutionizing the internet?

I personally love Web 2.0 designs, and am slowly starting to design in that pattern. AJAX amazes me beyond belief too.

I have no idea what Web 2.0 is. Is it a company that makes designs or something? Or is it a software :oops:
