Continuous Ink Supply Systems
I just got my new CIS system for my Epson. I heard good things about them, but I mainly got it because the price of a black and color ink cartridge was $15 more than the cost of the whole system filled with ink that is supposed to be equivalent to a few cartridges.
That whole thing about better quality and stuff since the since is constantly there sounded a little fake. I didn't notice any quality difference. I am hoping that it makes ink cheaper, but I haven't found a reliable source for the ink yet. I find it all the time on eBay, but some is that high quality UV-resist, water-proof ink. I would be happy with the regular ink, as long as it's cheap. |
Just a little update, this thing got it's hoses caught under the print head and started spraying black ink everywhere. I finally figured out that the directions I got were for another printer. They just sold it for my printer because the ink cartridges are the same. Once I started playing around with it, I found a better way to run the hoses. I am not very impressed with the piece of junk, though. When it comes time to getting more ink, I better save money. Otherwise, buying ink cartridges off eBay would have been a better plan.
