I'm a fan of McAfee, I used to use Norton but it wouldn't catch everything. I had some spyware that I couldn't get rid of - I uninstalled Norton and did a free trial with McAfee and sure enough McAfee took care of it. That was enough for me to make the decision to change.

I've been satisfied with the free version of AVG, how has it fell short for you?

For me , i use F-secure for my machine . I guess not much people using this Anti-virus software . I find that F-secure quite a bit hard to use . But when you get to it , it'd very friendly using .

Hey guys, I am sure AVG antivirus guard really helps for home users. Is it? I am using it for last few years, I am on safe now :) Always, I recommend it :p

Seems like this question gets asked every few weeks. Maybe it should be a sticky.
AVAST all the way! It works, it doesn't bog down the computer, and it's free.

I agree with you, it is light to OS and effective to virus elimination.

I have been using McAfee from quite a sometime. Its very good and keeps away from all kinds of viruses. I was using Norton before i started using McAfee. But i feel McAfee is the best of all. All the best
