Non-US Traffic

Does anyone here target a non-US audience? If so, how and where do you advertise your site? What sites, directories, etc have provided the most non-US visitors and/or customers?

If I try to go for a non-US audience, I will go for the UK since they are pretty similar. The best way is to probably advertise on bigger chains of UK websites.
