how to install unix?
i have bought a unix 5.05 cd which is not bootable. i currently have xp on HDD and when i want to open setup.exe inside the windows it gives this error: its not a valid win32 application. what should i do? how am i gonna install unix?

If you only have one computer you can either setup your PC so you can dual-boot the new OS with Windows or use virtualization. I highly recommend going the virtualization route. VirtualBox seems to be a really good free virtualization software. You could also try Microsoft Virtual PC software as well, but it doesn't seem to be very well suited for Linux/Unix at least in my experience.

OpenBSD is the best guys. very secure try it. the primary goal of openbsd is cryptography

If you want to run unix on windows box you could use virtual server to run Unix. Then Linux works like an application on windows box.
Another option is to setup dual boot server. If you going for dual boot you have to first create linux partition from partition magic and then proceed with bootable CD. |
