What are the most effective ways to get links?
 

I heard that social bookmarkings really turn around very fast, but most of them are NOFOLLOW, Is there any more methods to get fast turn around in link building process..... :)
Any ideas guys :) Please share with me.......

To answer your question, the best way to recover links is to either get them changed on the linking website or issue a 301 redirect on the old domain. Last time I heard blogger accounts do not have the access necessary to accomplish a 301 redirect, so your only option is to cotact the linking webmasters and request that the links be changed.

On the bright side, if your site isn't very old you don't have a lot to lose. Also the links pointing to you are no doubt fresh so the linking webmasters will likely be more willing to update them.

Interesting - How long does it take google to pick up the old links when you do a 301? Also do the links loose some of their weight as a result? We have just done this to our ski holidays price comparison site Compareaway.com.

Most effective ways to get link according me are blog commenting, forum posting with signatures, directory submission, article submission and social bookmarking. These are the techniques that I use.

For fast indexing, blog commenting is the way to go. And look for self hosted wordpress blogs. Google really seems to like those types of blogs.

Do a search for the topic you want to comment on, and include the word "wordpress" in the search string. You should find plenty of wordpress blogs.

If you use blog commenting, be sure to leave a good quality post - that way its not considered spam will get approved.

What is redirecting basically? Prompting direction to someone to follow that way, Isn't it! And 301 is an error code that is normally interpreted as "moved permanently". So, Now we can understand that somewhere this is the method of web page redirection and Yes! this is a very excellent and commendable search engine loyal method for web page redirection, In case, you need to change your file name or move that page by maintaining your ranking for that particular URL.

In my opinion, Forum posting is the best way to attract potential traffic as well as getting an ample amount of back links.

Yea most of the social bookmarking sites turned to nofollow. There are some other methods to get back links to your website. Best one is article submission. You should write a unique article and submit in a high PR article submission directory. You can get link back to your website.

Buddy these are some old thing and at present you should not carry out such things in bulk at present just to focus on quality content and share them through article, guest post, blog and go for forum posting with SMO.
