How long does it take for you to make a web design?

I actually take around 3 days to make a good design, but I usually plan before hand, so it takes even more time. When I start doing it, I know exactly what to do, and don't have any problems. How log does it take for you?

It typically takes me an entire day to just plan the design out and sketch out the basic layout. The next day I go in and work out the details. Then, I proceed to photoshop and create the layout. After that I code the template and viola!

Wow, you're fast. I actually just go do a little bit of planning every day, and then start on it. The planning part is the easy part, because I usually just take a design that I like from another website, and base my design off of that.

For me it can be anything from a few hours for a really simple design to a week or more for a larger project.

I suck at graphics, so it can take me a long time to do the logos and buttons. Most of the other stuff falls into place very quickly.

Depends how I'm feeling, really. Some days I can have something ready to go in a few short hours, but other days I will spend an entire day starting things and never finishing them.

These are highly unproductive days, but unfortunately I seem to get a 'creative block' at times, and no amount of inspiration can lead to a final design.

In general though, I will spend an entire day on a layout ensuring it is as clean and professional as possible, as well as well structured should anybody else need to change it.
