Where do you get your hardware?

Everyone needs it, everyone has it, but where do you get your hardware from? Personally I always use www.overclockers.co.uk, reasonably cheap and great RMA turnaround and customer support, ofcourse when I was still with a construction/repair company I got parts at trade price, oh the sweet hum of the industry. However now that I am a consultant / field tech I do not have the perks of the building sector. Other sites that i go to every now and again are
http://www.scan.co.uk/ and http://www.thecoolingshop.co.uk/

I get all my parts from www.newegg.com. I use to buy my parts from this local mom and pop computer store. I wanted to keep the money in the community. But once I found Newegg and seen that their prices are 20% to 40% cheaper than my local computer store. I started buying from Newegg. So far I have built two servers from the parts I bought from Newegg.

Interesting, whats the customer service etc like? I might give them a look when I get my tax rebate

edit...or notthey dont ship to the UK, swines

Newegg has one of the best customer care service departments that I have ever seen. Their shipping services are out of this world. Depending on what time of the day you order, your order is shipped the same day. So far everything that they shipped me has been in perfect working order. I have not received one DOA item yet. (fingers crossed :D )

I usually buy the spares from a local shop and build the machine myself. By this way I get better machines for lesser money.Otherwise the machines are very costly here in India.

i've heard Ebuyer to be quite good, i can't remember buying anything from them but they are pretty well known and i know a lot of people that buy from them, maybe you might want to give them a try :)

yeah eBuyer are well known and well known in the trade as (h)eBuyer-Timebomb, I wouldn't touch ebuyer with a 200mile ethernet cable, and I strongly advise against others doing so, they use low end components in their builds and sell refurbished hard drives without announcing it.

Online I shop at www.newegg.com and www.tigerdirect.com. I may purchase things from other places depending on the item but I mainly use those two.

Locally I buy stuff from a computer show on the weekends.

I buy stuff at Fry's and online through newegg. I tried tiger direct and it was the typical story where I did not get the mail in rebates back.
