UPDATE: Alum initiation status
 

(I posted a thread on Greek Chat covering the various stages of my alum initiation process. As of last week, executive office of an NPC sorority was voting on my potential membership.)

Yes, I have been invited to become an alum initiate of an NPC women's fraternity. :)

I just found out today.

Let's guess while my check for my initiation and badge clears!

Clues:
1. Nationally registered as a FRATERNITY
2. Founded BEFORE 1900
3. Three letters

Need more hints, but I'm gonna guess Alpha Phi.

I'm going to guess KKG.

Three letters, honey...unless Alpha Phi dropped a letter somewhere along the way.;)

MORE HINTS:
- Three Greek letters in the trademarked name
- Founded at a regular university (not a normal school, teacher's college, finishing school, etc)

I guess I should read all the hints, right? My second guess is going to be Alpha Chi Omega.

I'm going to guess Kappa Alpha Theta.

I thought AI was rare in Kappa.

More clues:
- The name in Greek letters DOES NOT stand for the OPEN motto
- The symbolism is all Hellenic, not Christian or secular
- The group's purpose was secular, not Christian

Still guessing AChiO.

Congratulations Bichon! I am so ECSTATIC for you! I nearly started shrieking with delight- but then I remembered that I am at my job surrounded by my co-workers.

And you did tell me which one it is- so I am checking the hints against the info in the webpage.

How long did the whole process take you?

Going with Tri Delta. Cause, you know, no one else is. ;)

Scandia- The entire process took 2 months. I filled out initial paperwork in early April and received the invitation today, June 11.

Remember, it went quicker for me because I found a sponsor at my church. However, it could have taken A LOT longer if exeuctive office had to look for potential sponsors. When we get back to Greek chat, we can discuss in PM.
