Fake Problems

Since the Fake Problems Appreciation Thread was such a good one, I felt we owed it to it to continue it.

My fake problem is that my boss is letting me leave two hours early today. What am I going to do with all that time?

WhiteDaisy128 06-09-2006 11:11 AM

pool?

DeltAlum 06-09-2006 11:13 AM

Drink?

You've just got to know what the next suggestion is going to be.

PerfectVerse06 06-09-2006 11:22 AM

I have a job that allows me to read messageboards all day.

I'm leaving work in 10 minutes.

I'm alive and well. God is good!

It's payday.

I'm blessed with a great family, wonderful friends, and the best boyfriend ever.

Why me? WHY ME?????

*crawls into a corner and starts rocking back and forth*

:(

valkyrie 06-09-2006 11:24 AM

My problem is that they're real, and they're spectacular. :(

KLPDaisy 06-09-2006 11:52 AM

I got a 10% discount on my lunch because I had a hospital employee id. I don't know if I can live with myself know that someone else had to pay more than me for the same lunch simply because they don't work here. That just seems so elitist.

AlphaFrog 06-09-2006 12:05 PM

My problem is that I just got a 7.5% raise. The problem comes in that my co-worker's last raise was only 2%, and she's going to hate me. (It's a small office, trust me, she'll find out). What ever will I do??:p

So you're the one that is making the government worry about inflation and because of that the stock market is going in the toilet!

(How does that make you feel?

I'm sorry hun. That may put you into a higher tax bracket. Must be rough.

Well, it takes away some of the guilt of getting a better raise then my coworker. Thanks:p

You must also be upper-tier.

Oh, no. This board is too virginal to be starting on the top-tier jokes.;)

Translated I can do...Spanish, French, Latin??

ETA: I'd offer German too, but you don't want my help on translating. Pronunciation maybe, but not translating.

Not sure where you are but I have one phrase......

Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale

xylochick216 06-09-2006 02:20 PM

KLP, we're in the same boat. My boss just told me I can leave an hour early. What's a girl to do?

I have a Nordstrom a block away from work. Guess where I went on my lunch hour the other day. :D

I leave work at 4 on Fridays. I feel so guilty, knowing that everyone else stays until 5.

sopi_jawbreaker 06-09-2006 03:44 PM

Without GC, I was forced to watch tv yesterday. Yeah, the cable's free, but it's totally crappy  . I have 37 channels. 10 of those are public access channels (WHY??? WHY??? WHY IS THIS NECESSARY??? ). 3 are Spanish channels (too bad I don't understand a word of Spanish). I have 2 C-Span channels, a boxing channel, and 2 horse racing channels (too bad I'm not into politics, boxing, or horse racing). And I have three shopping channels (QVC, Shop NBC, and HSN), which I'm not into either.

Here's the list of all the cable channels I don't have that I wish I had: MTV, VH1, BET, E!, Style, Bravo, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, USA, TNT, FX, TLC, Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and any movie channels (IFC, Sundance Channel, AMC, TMC, etc.) :(

What kind of horrible cable do I have? Poor, poor me. I always feel so left out whenever there's a thread on GC about shows on one of the channels I don't have (like 8th & Ocean, Surreal Life, and Nip/Tuck) :(

You and I have the same problems. We should start a support group.

OMG. I love Nordstrom so much. Sometimes I spend way too much money there on cool-ass stuff and, as a result, I look really awesome. It sucks. :(

That's a great idea.

We need all the help we can get...

:(

Drolefille 06-09-2006 06:07 PM

My problem is that I got to leave work early today. What about all those people who have to work. Also my work is having a party tomorrow and I avoided volunteering for it. How will I live down the impression that Greeks don't volunteer?

my big problem is that there isn't one near me :(

Scandia 06-09-2006 07:08 PM

My problem is that I did not have any desks to cover at work. What makes them think that 4 programs all by myself is enough? What in the world is so hard about pushing a giant TV cart and being in charge of crowds? Come on- gimme more, gimme more!

irishpipes 06-10-2006 06:45 PM

This sucks. It is 95 degrees here and my husband and I just signed a contract to build an inground pool.

DeltaEtaKP 06-10-2006 11:28 PM

My problem is that I landed a job for the summer that lets me work whatever hours I want, I can wear whatever I want, I have a huge office with a great view and huge plush couches, and somedays I have to work outside and get a tan. It's depressing, I know.

pinkiebell1001 06-10-2006 11:49 PM

I get to quit my job in 3 days. I'm soooo terribly sad, lemme tell ya:P

Amen. I miss Nordstrom and they need one in Waco!
Woe is me...I guess I'll have to deal with nordstrom.com.

I truly, deeply, feel sorry that I won't have to pay for things that I get today since it's my birthday and all. I should be driving all the way to Dallas right now to spend my own cash at a Nordstrom and release the burden of buying me things from my parents and friends, but...ah...I'm such a horrible person. And I'm freaking old. 20.

(It's really too long 'til my 21st, but I'll get what I can take. Presents!)

Drolefille 06-11-2006 03:09 PM

I went to a Graduation party this weekend and the food was so good that I was just completely stuffed all evening. Then they gave me some to take home the next morning. After feeding me BREAKFAST!

The nerve..

33girl 06-12-2006 08:43 AM

My problem is that the go to last post things look like draft beers and they're making me thirsty.
