id have to say Photoshop :)

I think fireworks have limited capabilities .Photoshop have more tools and the tools are more precise and detailed. You should try using photoshop. Its great!
|
I would have to say Photoshop, I find it very powerful but the price is a tad off putting and it is quite hard to learn about all the different tools etc. but when you do the results are great.

I used Paint Shop Pro once for the free trial.
I thought it was a good program considering the price. I would definitely use it if I didnt get photoshop for free, as I would never pay that much for a graphics program. PSP does everything photoshop does at a fraction of the cost. |
I have been using photoshop for 4 years now, tried paint shop pro too, but I have to confess that in my case photoshop wins hands down. I am a designer and need a good software to manipulate the graphics. In this photoshop is indeed great

I love using photoshop it is a much better program in my opinion.

Photoshop all the way. Although I haven't used PSP much since I already have Photoshop.

Photoshop may be great IF you can afford it or get it free but for those of us on a limited budget or who JUST can't get their head wrapped around PS, Paint Shop Pro is an excellent alternative. Also for those of use with no artistic abilites, the tubes are GREAT and if you learn how to make your own, you are even less limited. And all the filters that work with PS also work with PSP. You just can't use them in more than one graphics program. So you have to decide where to use it. And you can use and save PS files in PSP.
I also use ULead, another good one for making tiles and buttons and logos. A friend of mine uses Xara 4. Prefers it to all the others. So PS isn't the only game in town. And if all else fails, try the one that comes on every computer, if it's windows, it's called paint...linux, it's called gimp (IF you install it). Liz |
