I would, I use webmin on my server and I haven't had a single problem yet. Check out Virtualmin it will automatically set up your websites for you. It sets up Apache, Bind, Mysql, and FTP all at a touch of a button. It comes in two versions Pro(Paid) and GPL. I just use the free version on my server.

Interesting read Soul. Looking through the Compare to CPanel at the moment, pretty good judging by the forum ( i always judge sites by their forum :p) it still seems to be quite small

Sure, Webmin works fine for that. :) And unless you do local style of hosting, I would go for a web hosting control panel.

DirectAdmin is priced at $15.00 when you have a server at ColoStore.com (colocated or dedicated). That's a good deal! Otherwise, it's as follows (which is still a great deal):

Monthly License: $29 / month
Quarterly License: $108 / quarter (works out to $39/month) (I came up with $36 a month)
Yearly License: $200 / year
Lifetime License: $299.00 (one-time, no recurring charges)

And, I know they have great support forums! I've been there. It's great.

Best Regards,
Jason

I have been using cPanel for a couple of years right now. I like it the best since it has numerous features and the interface is just superb.

I heard Virtualmin was rather slow.. that could be just one persons view of it though as i have never tried it myself.

Has anyone else found that is a slow control panel?

Virtualmin runs just fine for me. But I only have 5 websites on the server. They have a Pro version of Virtualmin, I heard that it runs much better than the regular Virtualmin.

Cpanel is definitely the way to go for a webhosting control panel. It is easy and clean for both the client and the seller/reseller. The only bug I have ever found with a Cpanel is an occasional page not found error when trying to save an online-edited page, although most of the time it is better to edit offline anyway.

When having to work with New clients that are new when it comes to working a website. cPanel is easiest to explain and easier for them to understand also.
